shinytoneShinytone brings the full citation-tone analysis workflow into one place: f0 extraction, by-speaker normalisation, outlier and artefact inspection, growth-curve and generalised additive mixed-effects modelling, and Chao tone-numeral summarisation. It is built for phoneticians, typologists, fieldworkers, and students working on lexical tone production across tone languages.
It comes in two forms: an interactive web app you can use in the browser with no installation, and an R package for scripted, reproducible analysis. Full documentation lives on the package website. Co-created with Cong Zhang.
